Series info and cast
Bondi Vet is a long-running Australian documentary series airing on Ten Network since 2009 for seven consecutive seasons. The program is narrated by Steve Oemcke, executive produced by Rick Maier and David Williams and produced by WTFN Entertainment. The current eighth season premiered on April 9, 2016. The series also airs in the United States, Canada and Spain.
The documentary program follows the personal and professional lives of Chris Brown, resident veterinary surgeon at the Bondi Junction Veterinary Hospital and Lisa Chimes, an emergency veterinarian at the Small Animal Specialist Hospital located in the Sydney suburb of North Ryde. Andrew Marchevsky, a specialist surgeon at SASH and Tim Faulkner, the general manager of the Australian Reptile Park at Somersby are also featured on the show.
Ratings and potential renewal
The show has a 7.7/10 rating on IMDb. The first two seasons averaged close to a million viewers in the Metro 5. The star of the show, charming veterinarian Chris Brown has started co-hosting the localized version of I`m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! starting in 2015. There seems to be an excellent chance of the show being renewed for another season, but since there have been no announcements regarding a continuation of Bondi Vet into the ninth season, we need to stay tuned and monitor network announcements.
