Klondike Trappers is a Canadian survival adventure television series that follows a group of fur trappers that live and work in the wilderness of Alaska and the Yukon. Produced by Paperny Entertainment, the series premiered on History Channel Canada on October 7, 2015.

Battling the savage elements of the north, fur trappers are the members of one of the oldest professions in North America, feeding and clothing people for years. Frequently working in temperatures below 40 degrees Celsius, overcoming injuries and avoiding wild animals, they risk their lives taking care of trap-lines that can span over 100 square miles. In this series, History Channel Canada follows the 64-year-old trapper Cor Guidmond and his team, the members of which spend all their lives mastering this ancient skill.

So far, there has not been any official news from the network on the fate of the series. Although it is exciting to watch people risk their lives in the Alaskan wilderness, the subject of killing animals for meat and fur may not appeal to a lot of people in the modern day, so it’s still questionable with what kind of reviews the show will end its first season. If it is popular enough to be renewed, we should see Klondike Trappers Season 2 some time in the near future.
