About the series
Donnie Loves Jenny is an American reality TV series that focuses on the lives of Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy. Co-produced by Donnie and Jenny’s production company – D&J Productions, the series airs in 22-minute episodes and begins with the celebrity couple’s wedding in 2014. Season 4 of Donnie Loves Jenny premiered on A&E on March 16, 2016.
Donnie Wahlberg (Blue Bloods, Runway) and Jenny McCarthy (Scary Movie 3, Two and a Half Men) are newlyweds and on the way to spending the rest of their lives together. From the time they met, to the time they got married, everything that happened in their relationship was very much in the public eye. It seems that they have decided to continue that trend and create a show about the good, the bad and the ugly of their marriage. The current season of the popular series portrays the couple in new challenging situations. Jenny`s son Evan is growing into adolescence, which is bound to bring some changes in his relationship with his mom. Donnie endeavors to pass his motorcycle test, Jenny`s autism charity auction, Generation Rescue requires her attention, and on top of everything the family is settling into the new reality of suburban life in St. Charles.
Viewership and renewal potential
A&E has an unscripted development and production deal with the couple and the last two and the current third seasons have drawn in a big enough audience to hope for a future. Although the reviews are average, the docu-series about celebrity couples are popular enough, and the third season premiered to an audience of a 644,000 viewers and an 18-49 demo rating of 0.3. If the series` viewership remains at the same level, we will see Donnie Loves Jenny Season 4 in the near future.
