50/50 is a new American reality TV travel series that’s has participants racing to spend $50,000 in 50 hours. Produced by Big Table Media, the show premiered on the Travel Channel on October 4, 2015.

A new kind of travel and adventure show, 50/50 is noted by Chris Grundy and Samantha Brown. Throughout the season, Chris and Samantha present unsuspecting participants whether they’re ready to leave on an unforgettable, two-day getaway vacation with one caveat- they must choose wisely in order to spend $50,000 in just 50 hours, and travel time does not count. Faced with tempting but difficult decisions, participants will have to choose between exotic adventures in Nicaragua or the Philippines- and those with a slightly more adventurous spirit can opt to rappel down Cape Town’s famous Table Mountain or scuba dive in Phuket.

Season 1 of 50/50 premiered with travelers being chosen during the taping of a TODAY show, sending the couple packing before jetting off to Abu Dhabi with a mission to spend the cash before the clock strikes 50 hours. Their choices? Eat traditional Emirati majboosor a camel burger made with 24k gold- stay at the luxurious seven-star Emirates Palace in the Royal Suite or the Palace Suite, and many others. When it comes to travel, this show certainly makes people’s dreams come true. So will it stick around for 50/50 season 2? The Travel Channel has not made any announcements yet regarding a potential renewal.
