The Jacksons: Next Generation is an American reality television series produced by Go Go Luckey for Lifetime. The series focuses on the members of the third generation of the world famous Jackson family, with Taj, Taryll and TJ being the new celebrities. Season 1 of the series consists of six episodes and premiered on Lifetime on October 2, 2015.
Taj, Taryll and TJ are all members of the group called 3T, which has sold over 3 million records off their debut album two decades ago. It seems that if your last name is Jackson, you are definitely on your way to fame! But a heavy price comes with such a name, as well, and the three brothers struggle in their quest to normalcy, trying to manage their day-to-day family lives, their careers and all the attention that comes almost as a family legacy.
Will Taj, Taryll and TJ return to the studio to record their second album? Are the Jacksons so popular only because they desire to be? Do they actually deserve as much attention as they are attracting? We’ll find out the answers to all of these in the six weeks that Next Generation is airing.
As far as the show’s prospects – it’s still up in the air whether the network will pick up The Jacksons: Next Generation season 2. People may have gotten fed up with the same type of drama that the Jackson family bears with it, and unless 3T actually does return to the studio, it’s unlikely that there will be anything special to show to the audience past the first season.
