Basic Info and Storyline

Bill Averson is Coach Charming – the title character of a documentary television series currently airing on the TLC network in the United States. The series is produced by TollboothTV and premiered on November 4, 2015. The eight episodes of Coach Charming will feature both scenes from his family life and his work as a pageant coach.

Our Andalusia, Alabama hero, Bill Averson is a prominent lawyer and a devout father of three grown children by day and a coveted pageant coach by night. He is so good that, in fact, the last four MIss America contest winners were coached by him. Bill makes no secret of this fact, and is as outspoken about his successes as he seems to be just about everything else. His family members often find his ways overbearing, although there`s also the Southern gentleman side of Bill Averson. In coaching young women for the pageants he concentrates on the interviews, as they can easily ruin the first impression made by the good looks and even the prepared speech. The poise and intellect that is required to impress an interviewer is a big part in Bill`s pageant contestants` training program. He doesn`t forget the proper choice of the right dress either.

Viewer reception and renewal possibilities

The candid, expressive, good-looking coach is inspiring enough for the aspiring beauty queens to line up for his advice. Coach Charming is certainly charming enough for a steady, if not extremely populous, viewer following. There might be a renewal announced, since there hasn`t been a pageant-related series in some time, and there traditionally is a certain demand for it. We have yet to hear from TLC, but it`s certainly a realistic possibility.
