About the series

Total Divas is a reality series co-produced by Bunim/Murray Productions and WWE. It has been on the air since 2013, with the most recent 5th season having premiered on January 19, 2016. The series is executive produced by Gil Goldshein, Jeff Jenkins, Jon Murray and Russell Jay.

The series follows divas, a title given to female wrestlers by the WWE, in their personal lives as well as their wrestling careers, and includes extensive behind-the-scenes coverage. Both experienced wrestlers, such as the Bella Twins and Natalya and rookies are featured in the series. The majority of the divas has returned for the fifth season, with Naomi officially removed from the main cast.

Current season, ratings and renewal prospects

Season five opened to 1.115 million viewers, which scored it the #9 spot for cable shows of the night on the ratings chart. The original series premiere still remains the highest rated premiere episode of Total Divas with 1.34 million viewers. The second week of the current season saw a slide in viewership to 939.000, and the third dipped to 840.000 viewers. The show is a treat for wrestling fans, as it reveals never-before seen details, the wrestlers` lifestyles, and the regular bits where the divas share their secrets are certainly curious to those who follow the world of WWE. As for others, it`s not very likely to be of much interest. The ratings are holding more or less steady throughout the series` run, so Total Divas may very well score yet another renewal.
