Production info and series` concept
Paradise Run is a brand new American competition game show airing on Nickelodeon since February 1, 2016. It is presented by Daniella Monet (previously seen on Victorious, Fairly OddParents and Awesomeness TV) and produced by Nickelodeon Productions and Stone Stanley Entertainment. The graphics are created by Coat of Arms. The first season of Paradise Run contains 12 half-hour episodes.
Three teams of young contestants compete in a series of mental and physical challenges, as well as tests of their teamwork skills in the lavish Hawaiian setting. Three teams of two kids vie for the ultimate tropical vacation grand prize. The intense obstacle courses, water-based adventures in a beautiful lagoon, waterslides, waterfalls, racing across sandy beaches – besides being a lot of fun, the series is just pleasantly warming on a February evening.
Ratings and chances of renewal
The series debuted to 1.499 million viewers and a 0.29 rating in the 18-49 demographic, thereafter slipping to 1.264 million and a 0.21 rating by the third episode. The numbers, however, are still strong and the chances of renewal are very high. There aren`t many reality competition TV series targeting children and teens, so the fast-paced adventures portrayed in Paradise Run might very well remain on screen for some time.
