About the series

Game Shakers is a live-action gaming sitcom that revolves around two girls named Babe and Kenzie who start a multi-million dollar gaming company. The show is another brilliant brainchild of Emmy-nominated creator Dan Schneider, and is produced by Schneider’s own Bakery Productions. Season 1 of Game Shakers premiered on September 12, 2015 on Nickelodeon, and season 2 debuted on September 17, 2016

Babe and Kenzie are middle schoolers who create a video game called Sky Whale as part of their science project. After the app turns out to be wildly successful, the girls decide to form a company called Game Shakers, and recruit rap superstar Double G (Nickelodeon’s own ‘90s icon Kel Mitchell) and his son Triple G to help launch their very own gaming empire. The series became a truly multi-platform experiment when the network announced that all the games seen in the show will be released online on the Nickelodeon site and through a mobile app.

Current season and renewal potential

Season 2 of Game Shakers features special guest stars like Shel Bailey, Bubba Ganter, Tanner Buchanan, Dan Gauthier, Jaime Moyer and Bob Glouberman. It has managed to maintain an excellent overall average of 1.64 million viewers in season 1, and season 2 is not trailing far behind, with 1.56 million tuning in to see the current season’s premiere episode. Although the show has an average 4.6/10 IMDb score, the solid ratings may very well earn Game Shakers a third season commission. Stay tuned, and we’ll bring you the latest news.
