Basic info and plot

Trollied is a British sitcom series that premiered on Sky 1 network on August 4, 2011 and is currently in its sixth series, on air since November 7, 2016. It was created by Anne Marie O`Connor, Paul Doolan and Ash Atalia, and produced by Roughcut TV. It is the first original sitcom produced by Sky 1 since 2002.

The incapable staff of Valco, a fictional supermarket somewhere in the Northwest of England, manages to run the store, and still has time for flirtation, squabbles and stressing over the rivalry with a nearby supermarket. The protagonists list includes deputy store manager Julie Cook (Jane Horrocks), store manager Gavin Strong (Jason Watkins), head butcher Andy Richmond (Mark Addy), Katie (Chanel Cresswell) – a checkout operator who made the advance to HR manager, butcher Kieran (Nick Blood) and others. The many employees of the abundantly populated sitcom supermarket face a variety of personal and professional challenges with varying degrees of success in an environment all-so-familiar to everyone. Nothing runs as smoothly as it should, but what fun would it be if it did? The staff is very diverse, and, while very realistic, the chronicle of their interactions is full of unexpected twists. The current series starts off with Cheryl becoming the new area manager and new cast members Rufus Hound (food rep Duncan) and Georgia May Foote (shop assistant Holly) on board.
