Basic info and cast

Executively produced by famous rapper T.I., Sisterhood of Hip Hop is an American reality television docuseries that follows the life of a group of female rap singers who are trying to make their names big in the rap world. The series was first released in August of 2014 and features many famous singers as guest stars. Sisterhood of Hip Hop Season 3 premiered on Oxygen on July 12, 2016.

The cast members are a diverse bunch. Briana Perry has been in the music industry since she was 5 years old and has even been signed by Missy Elliott’s label and featured on Beyoncé’s website. Siya is an openly gay rap singer who is unwilling to sacrifice who she is for her career. Bia is known for her work with the Grammy Award-winning rapper Pharrell. Nyemiah Supreme and Diamond are both beginning stars in the rap industry. In the second season they are all joined by Chloe Riley, who is a well-known rapper in the San Diego area. These ladies try to stay unique while making it big in the world of rap and proving that not only the men can dominate the stage.

Current season and renewal expectations

In season three veteran participants Siya, Brianna Perry and Diamond are joined on their exciting path to success by newbies Audra the Rapper and Lee Mazin. The female MCs will be mentored by legendary MC Lyfe, Irv Gotti, Trina, Jazze Pha, YoYo, Tank and many other rap stars. With such a cast there’s bound to be a lot of drama. These ladies are all quite different and their careers range from nearly-famous to rookie, which sometimes poses a problem when collaboration is required. The series has been quite popular, with positive reviews and a steady audience base. Though no news has been yet released on the fate of the series, we hope to see Sisterhood of Hip Hop Season 4 in the near future.
