Basic info and storyline
Killjoys is a new sci-fi and adventure Canadian TV drama series that centers on a trio of interplanetary bounty hunters as they chase criminals throughout the Quad, a distant planetary system. Created by Michelle Loretta, best known for Lost Girl, the series is co-produced by Mendacity Pictures, Bell Media, Universal Cable Worldwide and Temple Street Productions. The first season of the show debuted in June 2015 on SyFy in the U.S. and Space channel in Canada, and the 10-episode second season premiered on July 1, 2016.
Dutch (Hannah John-Kamen), John (Aaron Ashmore) and Luke (D’avin Jaqobis) are three fun-loving and hard-living bounty hunters who have made a decision to remain neutral as they survive the multi-planetary class war that threatens to destroy their galaxy. The three must navigate a dangerous political quagmire of competing planets, as they try to save themselves and others from complete annihilation.
Current season, ratings and renewal chances
Killjoys critics reviews have been very mixed, however season one garnered a respectable average of 1.5 million viewers per episode. However, the second season premiere was seen by 0.765 million viewers and garnered a 0.2 demo rating.
