Basic info and storyline

Produced for Bravo by Evolution Media, The Real Housewives of Orange County is an American reality TV series that follows the lives of several women living in Orange County, California. The series originally aired in March of 2006 and has been so successful that several spinoffs were created based on it, developing The Real Housewives franchise. Season 11 of the show premiered on Bravo on June 20, 2016.

Inspired by the series Desperate Housewives, The Real Housewives of Orange County (RHOC) focuses on the luxurious life of several ladies of Orange County, California, which is one of the wealthiest places in the United States, with a very affluent population. The agenda of these women is a full one: they concentrate mainly on spending their husbands’ money on partying, eating out, plastic surgery, shopping and fitness. Throughout the ten seasons, several women have come and gone, and the eleventh season also features a newcomer.

Ratings, reviews and possible renewal

With 2.7 million total viewers, The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10 became the series’ most watched in history. It seems that these ladies are so bored with their lives, they pack the series with drama and squabble. And that’s precisely what keeps the viewers interested. All of the ladies returned for the 11th season – Vicki Gunvalson, Heather Dubrow, Shannon Beador, Meghan King Edmonds and Tamra Judge, along with one more bold cast member – Kelly Dodd. Season 11 has started off with a 0.6 demo rating and 1.715 million viewers, which is significantly below last season`s average, so let`s watch the dynamics and see what the network decides.
