Series info and plot
Idiotsitter is an American sitcom television series that has been running as a web series on Comedy Central digital production studio CC: Studios since February 28, 2014. The series was created by and stars Jillian Bell and Charlotte Newhouse and premiered on the Comedy Central network January 14, 2016 with a 16-episode season.
The half-hour scripted series is centered around the uptight Harvard graduate Billie (Jillian Bell), who is broke and is hired to babysit an ultra-rich young woman in her father`s mansion. Gene (Charlotte Newhouse) is under house arrest for reckless partying, and the odd couple reluctantly begins to form a friendship bond.
Current season, ratings and renewal prospects
Mostly favorable reviews have been sympathetic to the raucous series picturing the unlikely female buddies. Metacritic grants it a 68/100 rating, and the votes on Rotten Tomatoes add up to an average of 7.2/10. The ratings, however do not reflect a very positive trend. Idiotsitter premiered to an audience of almost 0.5 million viewers with a rating of 0.27 in the 18-49 demographic, but by the third episode the viewership dropped to 0.339 million and a 0.19 rating. Although it isn`t for everyone, there is certainly potential in the series, and it would be unfortunate if this rowdy comedy with two energetic promising leads gets sacked. Hopefully, the series will find its audience and by the end of the season we will see better ratings and a pick up for another season.
