Production info and plot

A British children and family television series, 4 O`Clock Club has been running on CBBC since 2012.The series is created by Paul Rose and Doc Brown, written by Paul Rose, Julia Kent and Arnold Widdowson, and executive produced by Connal Orton. It is currently in its fifth series, which debuted on February 25, 2016 and is set to contain 13 half-hour episodes.

The life of students and teachers at Elmsbury High School is portrayed in the series. Josh Carter (Khalil Madovi) and his older brother Nathan (Doc Brown) go to the same school, one is a teacher, the other – a pupil. The 4 o`clock club is a euphemism for a group of students placed in detention. By the fifth series the set of main characters has changed, with the Carters brothers out of the picture, and new characters appearing on screen. Nero (Akai Osei) and his crew are currently at the center at the plot, and four new characters added in the current series.

Viewership and renewal for 2017

The original series premiere attracted just under 500,000 viewers, with the viewership steadily declining over the four completed seasons. The late series 4 episodes aired to an audience of just over 200,000 viewers. 4 O`Clock Club has received a prestigious BAFTA nomination and has a 6.9/10 IMDb score.
