Production info and plot
Power Rangers Dino Super Charge is an American animated action and adventure television series airing on Nickelodeon. It is created by Haim Saban and Toei Company, executive produced by Saban, Judd Lynn and Brian Casentini and produced by SCG Power Rangers, Power Rangers Productions, Ltd., and Toei Company Ltd. The current season is the second season in the Power Rangers Dino Charge subdivision, and the 23rd overall in the Power Rangers series. It premiered on January 30, 2016 and is slated to contain 12 episodes, exact number TBA.
The Power Rangers team this season consists of ten morphing rangers for the first time in the series` history, and features new weapons, battle gear and powers. The eternal battle between good and evil continues in this particular form, as the superhero rangers in color-coded spandex suits fight their vicious antagonists.
Background, ratings and possibility of renewal
Dino Super Charge premiered to 1,339 million viewers and a 0.28 demo rating. Over a month into the season the viewership is holding steady, having slumped just a bit to 1.198, but with the rating edging up to 0.29. The animated series is a veteran, having premiered in 1993, and is supplemented heavily with the merchandising and video game segments of the franchise, so by now there are several generations of Power Rangers` loyal fans.
