Series info and main cast
Dice is a US comedy television series that premiered on Showtime on April 10, 2016. The show`s created by Scot Armstrong, executive produced by Armstrong, Sean Furst, Bryan Furst, Richard Shephard, Bruce Rubenstein and Andrew Dice Clay, and produced by Olé Productions, America Work Inc., Fox 21 Television Studios and Showtime Networks. The pilot episode came out on April 1, 2016 on a number of online streaming services, and the rest of the 6-episode freshman season was made available on the on-demand services, while Showtime`s airing the episodes on a regular weekly basis.
The semi-autobiographical show stars controversial comedian Andrew Dice Clay as himself, Kevin Corrigan as his best friend “Milkshake” and Natasha Leggero as his girlfriend Carmen. A Las Vegas suburban backdrop, funny jokes (which is always good for jokes), explosive chemistry between the cast members, celebrity cameos… what`s there not to love?
Ratings and renewal potential
The show garnered a 7.2/10 IMDb score, and seems to be enjoying popularity, Even the reviewers who admit to never have been fans of Andrew Dice Clay find the show satisfying, whereas the fans of ADC are, of course, very excited to see him making a comeback after many years of being under the radar. There has been a resurgence of older comedians, like Louie and Maron, coming back into the spotlight, and Andrew Dice Clay is in the trend. Dice premiered to 254,000 viewers, and the second episode was seen by an audience of 180,000 people. It`s difficult to predict the show`s future at this point, but we`ll promptly inform you as soon as renewal information becomes available.
