Series background and pick-up after a 5-year hiatus

The hit US black humor improvisational comedy show Curb Your Enthusiasm which ran between 2000 and 2011 for a total of eight successful seasons has been recently picked up for a ninth season. Created, executive produced and starring Larry David (best known for creating Seinfeld), the series will begin filming in the winter of 2017.

David stars as an extremely fictionalized version of himself in a caustic depiction of his life as a television writer and producer reluctant about retirement. The dialogue is mostly improvised within the guidelines outlined by David. Many of the subplots involve Larry David`s inability as well as his lack of desire to adhere to certain social conventions and the hilarious and awkward situations that ensue.
