About the series
An American stand-up comedy TV show, The Half Hour has been on the air since 2012. It is broadcast on Comedy Central and is currently in its fifth season, which was launched on August 26, 2016. The show is executive produced by John Bravakis, Stephen Kroopnick and Stu Schreiberg and hails from Triage Entertainment.
Starting with the current season the program is filmed at the Civic Theatre in New Orleans, LA, having moved from Royale Theater in Boston, MA. It features some of the most impressive voices in the contemporary world of stand-up. Among the cutting-edge comic talent featured on the show are Garfunkel and Oates, Neal Brennan, Michael Palascek, Rory Scovel, Theo Von, Rory Scovel, Brendon Walsh and many others. For many of the comedians it is their first ever solo performance on Comedy Central, which makes the show a perfect career trampoline – or a career boost for better known characters.
