Season 1 recap
The 10-episode freshman season of FX`s new and already acclaimed dramedy series Atlanta has concluded its broadcast on November 1, 2016. The show has gained excellent reviews for its first installment, although the viewership ratings declined somewhat from 1.08 million viewers for the series premiere to 0.78 million for the season finale. The last episode`s storyline centers around Earn losing his jacket and attempting to recover it, while the jacket sets off on its own separate journey, as the drug and weapon dealer who puts it on gets shot by the police. Elsewhere, Earn`s colleague returns the crucial item to him – the key to the storage space that doubles as his living quarters. Atlanta`s become a critics` darling right off the bat, with rarely seen universally top-notch reviews that praise the show for its authenticity, multidimensional characters, and the deadpan humor that hits the spot every time. There were no doubts about the show being renewed, and indeed, it is, with a second season already commissioned by FX. Stay tuned for the release date announcement, and let`s hope that the second installment of this addictive series will air soon.
