About the show
Jamie’s Super Foods is a show featuring the iconic chef and healthy lifestyle advocate Jamie Oliver airing its second series on Channel 4 since September 23, 2016. The cooking travelogue docu-series is produced by Fresh One Productions. The current chapter contains six episodes.
Jamie Oliver is a very significant figure in the contemporary food culture. He is an expert in blending excellent taste, ease of execution, and healthy ingredients and cooking style. In this series Jamie travels to a number of places in the world that are well known for the health and robustness of their inhabitants. The first season featured his trips to the Near East, South Asia, Japan, Costa Rica and Greece, while the second installment so far has portrayed his visits to Bali, South Korea and Switzerland. These are the places that have the most centenarians per capita, and Jamie seeks out to find the secret of their long lives. He subsequently brings his new knowledge back home, adjusting the recipes and providing his viewers with inspiration for everyday cooking.

James Oliver’s passionate approach is always appreciated by the viewers, and his books and television programs inevitably become hits with the general public. The second series premiered to an audience of 1.4 million viewers, and the second episode drew 1.06 million Oliver’s fans. There’s been no mention of a third series, yet it seems that if the chef would be willing to continue with Super Food, there will definitely be another installment of the show.
