Basic info and concept

Ghost Adventures: Aftershocks is an American paranormal / mystery television series airing since April 26, 2014, with the current third season released on January 4, 2016. The series is a spinoff from Ghost Adventures, a hit Travel Channel paranormal series that`s been on the air for ten seasons as of today, and follows up on the people and stories from the original show. The program is created and narrated by Zak Bagans and executive produced by Zak Bagans, Joe Townie and Michael Yudin.

Zak Bagans revisits former Ghost Adventures participants, investigating their lives following their paranormal experiences. He strives to find out whether the places are still haunted by evil, and how people`s lives have been affected by the incidents. Some audio and video evidence not previously shown on the program will be revealed to add depth to the interviews and re-introduce the original incidents. The interviews are held in Las Vegas, at an undisclosed studio.

Viewer response and possibilities of renewal

The series holds a 6.7 rating on IMDb, but the viewer reviews have been very contrasting – from “phony and awful” to “entertaining”. The chances of its renewal are unclear, and there has been no announcement from the Travel Channel on either renewal or a cancelation of Ghost Adventures: Aftershocks. Meanwhile, the original series, Ghost Adventures, has been recently renewed for an 11th and a 12th season, which makes a renewal much more likely for the offshoot program.
