Production info and hosts

A new home renovation show Downtown Shabby was launched on FYI network on October 15, 2016. Produced by 3 Ball Entertainment, and containing eight one-hour episodes, the show is executive produced by Todd A. Nelson, DJ Nurre, Ross Weintraub, Curnal Aulisio, James Bolosh and Gena McCarthy.

Frank and Sherry Montana are a power couple from Chicago that undertakes the renovation of vintage homes that may look like a perfect house on the outside, but are in terrible shape on the inside. The dark secrets that may surprise the renovators in these dilapidated homes may include dry rot, weakened foundation, poor floor plans or even termite infestation, so the Montanas have to undertake major repairs that will transform these structures into true masterpieces with modern floor plans and cutting-edge appliances.

Current season and renewal potential

Sherry has been flipping houses since her childhood, when her parents flipped ten houses in the span of seven years. When she met Frank, whose experience in home renovations spanned 15 years, their union was just meant to be. While there are lots of ups and downs in the process, the two are naturals in this business, bringing their passion and the skills into doing what they love. The charming couple seems to have lots of potential for the show to last, so please stay tuned, and we will let you know when FYI makes a decision on whether to renew Downtown Shabby for a second series.
