SBS foodie Peter Kuruvita has got a new show that debuted on November 10, 2016. The six-part culinary reality series is produced by The Precinct Studios.
Celebrity chef Peter Kuruvita has made the Sofitel Noosa Resort his new home, and he makes it a point to use only the freshest local ingredients from the Sunshine Coast and the surrounding region. He is truly passionate about going on a journey to explore his new environment, and meet the produce farmers, artisans and other people who are involved in the process of delivering the most amazing dishes to the clients of Noose Beach Club. He also has a strong interest in permaculture, sustainability and ecologically sound farming, so these issues will also be touched upon in this series.
Viewership and chances of renewal
In the first season of this culinary docuseries Sri Lankan native Kuruvita explores the local varieties of the tropical fruits and vegetables, seafood and other diverse fresh flavors, demonstrating his great versatility and talent. He shares unusual recipes that are inspired by a wide range of his experiences – from the art of Ayurvedic cooking that he learned in Sri Lanka, to traditional local dishes.The series airs with approximately 150,000 viewers per episode, which is right about the top of the game for SBS this season, and considering Peter Kuruvita`s familiarity to the viewers, another series would be logical to predict.
