It is created by David Chikwe, written by Emma Reeves, executive produced by Ruth Caleb and Sue Nott. The second season of Leopard Drama-produced series currently on the air, having debuted on January 4, 2016. Both seasons contain 13 half-hour episodes each.
The first ever sentient gynoid prototype Eve (Poppy Lee Friar) comes to live with the family of the scientist Nick Clarke (Ben Cartwright) whose teenage son Will (Oliver Woolford) persuades him to save her from being disconnected. They have to keep her origin a secret, but it proves to be a difficult task when Will`s best friend Lily (Eubha Akilade) finds out who Eve really is. Meanwhile, Katherine, a scientist at Calimov Systems, is trying to unravel the mystery of Project Eternity, and soon enough comes dangerously close to finding out that it is Eve.
Ratings and renewal possibilities
The series has a 7.2/10 rating on IMDb, and very positive reviews from the parents of the satisfied teenage viewers. They mention the thoughtfully elaborate plot, the entertaining situations that occur constantly and predictably as the non-human Eve tries to fit into the social framework of a suburban neighborhood. The ingenuity of Eve, Will and Lily will have to save the day and help them sort things out. There seems to be universal appeal in this light-hearted sci-fi dramedy series, and it might be a likely candidate for renewal.
