Storyline and cast

Good Behavior is a new American drama series based on the 1980s Letty Dobesh novella series by Blake Crouch. The 10-episode freshman season premiered on TNT on November 15, 2016. With Storyland, Tomorrow Studios and Studio T behind the production, the series is executive produced by Chad Hodge, Blake Crouch, Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements.

The storyline focuses on Letty Dobesh (Michelle Dockery), a con artist and a thief who, upon her release from prison, is on parole, and is severely limited in hr access to her son who`s in the custody of her unforgiving mother Estelle (Lusia Strus). Once, by chance, she overhears a plot to hire a hitman Javier (Juan Diego Botto) to kill a man`s wife, and decides to interfere. This decision proves to be life-changing for her, and she ends up in a relationship with the killer.

Positive reception and chances of renewal

The series premiered with 0.81 million viewers, and is well-received by the audience and critics. It has already earned solid review aggregator scores of 8.2/10 on IMDb, 78% on Rotten Tomatoes and a less impressive 65% on Metacritic. The noir-ish drama is hailed as suspenseful, intense and sexy, with the performance of Michelle Dockery (best known as Lady Mary Crawley in Downton Abbey) is particularly praised. The unpredictable plot twists in this rather dreary situation have an addictive quality, as many viewers agree. The show has not been renewed for a second season yet, but with such solid reviews the chances are excellent.
