Megaspeed is a Canadian auto sport-inspired factual entertainment television series airing on Discovery. It is produced by EPI (Exploration Production Inc.) in association with Discovery Canada, executive produced by Karen McCairley and narrated by Steve Anthony. The current third season premiered on January 7, 2016. The previous two seasons contained 6 one-hour episodes each, and the third one is follows the same format.
The series portrays the fastest vehicles around and their tough and confident drivers. Every episode is bursting with adrenaline as the viewers get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the most prestigious and challenging motor sport events and their participants, who are striving to break world records, dominate the races and get onto the podium. Other subjects touched upon are motorcycles, exotic car collections, car auctions and many other automotive-related issues.
Current season and chances of renewal
Many viewers are in just for the rush of the races, but there`s also another aspect of Megaspeed that can`t be overlooked. The show seems to concentrate mostly on cars and racetracks, but it`s really the personalities and the real-life stories of challenge, struggle and success that compel the viewer to keep watching. The series is a popular one, and seems to attract enough viewer interest to be picked up for renewal.
