Critical reception and potential reception
Agatha Raisin premiere drew an audience of 0.86 million viewers, and lost some of the audience by the second episode, attracting 0.74 million viewers. The critical reception is average, with a 6.6/10 IMDb score, with most reviewers agreeing that the series provides decent light entertainment, but is too flimsy to be compelling. Agatha is obviously incompetent, which is not necessarily a problem for a comedy series, but she may be a bit too ditzy to charm the viewers. However, it has earned some fan support which may carry it over into another series. Stay tuned, and we will keep you informed on the series fate.
