About the series
A French-Canadian police procedural drama series, which originally aired in French, and was subsequently adapted into a separate English-language series. The English version of19-2 has been on the air since 2014, while the original ran between 2011 and 2015. The show is produced by Echo Meda and Sphère Média Plus, and executive produced by Luc Chatêlain, Jocelyn Deschêenes, Jesse McKeown, Virginia Rankin, Bruce M.Smith, Saralo MacGregor, Greg Philips, Carolyn Newman and Josée Valée. It is currently in its third season that debuted on Bravo CA on June 20, 2016.
The series focuses on the relationship between two incompatible partners serving as patrol officers in Montreal – Ben Chartier (Jared Keeso) and Nick Barron (Adrian Holmes). There`s plenty of action, as the members of the police squad carry out their duties, but the spotlight is on the two men and the way their mistrust and dislike of each other give way to respect, and their different backgrounds and contrasting outlooks on life slowly stop being an obstacle to true partnership.
Current season and renewal prospects
The current season had some notable cast additions – Juliette Gosselin in the role of Martine, a possible witness in Kaz`s death, Krista Bridges as Inspector Elise Roberge who`s set to conclude Sergeant Houle`s investigation and Joe Pingue as an old-school gangster Charlie Figo. The award-winning series has a solid 8.8/10 IMDb score and has in fact been renewed for a fourth season several weeks prior to the third season premiere.
