Series info and format

Guy Code vs. Girl Code is a reality comedy series that premiered on MTV2 on June 28, 2016. It is produced by the team that brought the viewers Guy Code and Girl Code – executive producers Darin Byrne, Paul Ricci and Ryan Ling, and Viacom Media Networks.

The series is a spin on the two preceding MTV shows – Guy Code and Girl Code. Both of these programs are done in the reality comedy genre and feature various people – comics, athletes, musicians, actors and actresses – discussing the gender-specific issues that most everyone encounters in their lives. From hygiene and hobbies to relationships, sports and social issues, pretty much everything is covered.

Current season, viewership and renewal potential

The hilarious spinoff pits the genders against each other in discussions of such topics as cheating, listening, one-night stands, relationships, money and much, much more. The cast for the first season includes Nicole Byer, Carly Aquilino, Jon Gabrus, Nessa, Chris Distefano, Charlamagne, Andrew Schulz, Damien Lemon, Akaash Singh, Jamie Lee, Lil Duval, Akwafina, and Annie Lederman. Guy Code vs. Girl Code premiered to just over 0.2 million viewers with a 0.1 demo rating, sliding somewhat to an average of 0.15 million viewers for the following episodes.
