A long-running and popular British comedy panel show, Celebrity Juice has been broadcast on ITV2 since 2008. The series is currently in its 15th series, which has debuted on March 17, 2016. Celebrity Juice is created by Leigh Francis and presented by Francis as alter ego Keith Lemon. Dan Baldwin and Leon Wilson serve as executive producers and Talkback is the production company behind the series.
The series was originally built around current events in tabloid news, but the later series have focused more on the comedic interactions between the celebrity guests than on gossip. The two teams led by team captains Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton contend in various games and engage in fun celeb-related banter. The crazier and more perverse version of Keith Lemon than ever before appears on the quiz show, to the delight of many fans. Others, however, find his antics tiring more than entertaining.
Awards, viewership and potential renewal
Celebrity Juice has won a number of important awards, such as a BAFTA for YouTube Audience, two National Television Awards and two TV Choice Awards. The current season premiered to a solid audience of 1.915 million viewers, with Gino D`Acampo returning as a regular panelist. The series is very entertaining in its genre, and has a steady and loyal fan base, so its renewal potential is almost unbeatable.
