Nickelodeon officially canceled Talia in The Kitchen season 2
This article has the most up-to-date info on the status of Talia in The Kitchen season 2 as we continuously monitor the news to keep you in the know. Unfortunately, Nickelodeon has officially canceled the series. There will be no season 2.

Basic info and storyline
Talia in the Kitchen is the American version of the Latin American telenovela Toni, La Chef, also produced by Nickelodeon. It is a teen drama and situational comedy series. The first season consists of 40 episodes, its first part aired on July 6, 2015, and the second part came back on November 30, 2015. It is created by Catharina Ledeboer and Mariela Romero, produced by Cinemat and executive produced by Jose Vicente Scheuren and Tatiana Rodriguez.
Talia (Maria Quezada), the series` protagonist, is an optimistic 14-year old girl who loves cooking. In the process of helping to revive her grandmother`s restaurant she finds out that she herself has a special gift for using spices with magical effects, an inherited gift that runs in the family.
Viewer reception and chances of renewal
The critics and viewers are mostly disappointed in Talia in the Kitchen. The series has a 4.3 rating on IMDb, indicating a lower than average response. Reviewers point out the lack of originality in the plot, a terrible sense of humor and bland characters. The viewership numbers have been very low in the first half of the season, partly due to very little advertisement on the network`s part. Is it a miss for Nickelodeon or will the audience warm up to the lead character`s charm, positive attitude and willingness to overcome all of the challenges on her way to success? This still remains to be seen, the second half of the season has just begun and anything may happen, but the network hasn`t made an official statement on the future of the series.
