Basic info and cast
Dr. Ken is an American comedy television series starring Ken Jeong, who is also the creator, writer and co-producer of the show. The series is based on Jeong’s experience of being a doctor before he switched his profession and became a standup comedian. The first season of the series premiered on ABC on October 2, 2015.
Dr. Ken is a brilliant physician at a busy hospital who tries to juggle his career and family lives. His teenage daughter Molly causes him unrest, as most teenagers do, and his wife Molly constantly tries to analyze him, probably due to the fact that she is a therapist
The series is still too young to predict how it will be received by the viewer. However, so far, the critics have not been too happy with Dr. Ken and are giving the series very low odds of survival. Unless the producers can bring in something other similar shows can’t, it does not seem that Dr. Ken will be returning for another season in 2016.
