Storyline and cast
NCIS: Los Angeles is an American TV drama series that follows the work of undercover officers of NCIS’s special division who risk their lives to reach an objective. Created and executive produced by Shane Brennan, the series began airing on CBS on September 22, 2009.
The first of its kind, NCIS: Los Angeles combines elements of police procedural and military genre drama. The series is the first successful spin-off of NCIS and centers on the exploits of an elite division of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, the Office of Special Projects (OSP), which specializes in undercover work. Using the most advanced investigative strategies and modern technology, undercover officers go deep inside the belly of the beast in order to track down criminal masterminds that threaten national security.
In Season 7 of NCIS: Los Angeles, which premiered on September 21, 2015, the officers continue to risk their lives in order to maintain their undercover identities in the criminal underworld. This season will include 24 episodes with the season premiere already drawing in nearly 8 million viewers. Considering the show’s award-winning streak in years past, collecting everything from the Teen Choice Awards to People’s Choice and a Primetime Emmy for outstanding stunt direction, chances are high that the network will renew the show for another season. If so, viewers can expect to see NCIS: Los Angeles season 8 sometime next Fall.
Season 7 recap
A 24-part seventh installment of NCIS: Los Angeles bowed out on May 2, 2016 and it did so having attracted more than 8 million viewers to the small screen. In the previous season the ratings have dropped by nearly 30% after the network made a decision to move the show to Monday nights, so it was very comforting to see that the last 24 episodes have held steady with an impressive average viewership of 8.6 million per episode. The final episode was a very intense one with Kensi, Callen and Deeks helping Sam to resolve a hostage situation in a school. As we have already reported earlier, the series has already been greenlit for another round, so all there is left to do is wait for the announcement of the premiere date.Latest news
